Since Brexit, Malta has become one of the few English-speaking countries in the European Union. This situation is fundamental to our football training programme, as we need our players to live in an English-speaking European country in order to apply our programme.

In addition, we have observed that smaller European countries offer better opportunities for players to develop their careers. In fact, these countries have lower league levels, but football remains very popular, offering more opportunities for players to secure a contract.

Furthermore, the island's warm climate makes playing this sport very pleasant in winter, which is a significant advantage for our players.

For all these reasons, we have chosen Malta as the destination for our new concept: the private football training centre. If you want to improve your football skills while enjoying an English-speaking environment and warm weather all year round, our training centre is perfect for you!

Securing a professional contract is the dream of many young footballers, but making a living from this passion remains a difficult challenge.

We are aware of the high ambitions of some players, which is why we make sure to send our scouts, who are thoroughly familiar with the Maltese level, to our trials so as not to give false hope.

Next, our communications and recruitment team must be honest with the players.

However, thanks to our sporting environment and our personal monitoring, players often perform during our programme and experience a steady progress which can lead to good opportunities. Next, it is up to the players to demonstrate their personality and qualities during trials in order to secure a contract.

Therefore, it is important to note that ProEvolution Academy cannot promise players who join our programme that they will sign a contract. Like any training centre, promising that would be lying. Our football training centre in Malta provides all the necessary tools and greatly increases players' chances, but they remain the sole masters of their destiny in the professional world.

At ProEvolution Academy, we place emphasis on the professional development of each of our players. We consider signing a professional contract to be the ultimate proof of a player's success and of our training environment.

If a player secures a contract during our programme, we establish an individual schedule to support them in their career. We modify their training and match schedules accordingly, while allowing them to continue enjoying all the benefits of our academy.

We are convinced that this personalised monitoring contributes greatly to the development of our players' careers and allows them to progress in a favourable environment.

As for the duration of the programme, there are several options.

As a general rule, in order to achieve better results in football and in learning English, we recommend that selected players join the academy for a minimum period of nine months, which is equivalent to one football season.

However, there are also different packages offering 1, 2, 6 or 5 months. (See rates here)

In order to have time to organise sports monitoring and see results, the minimum stay in our programme is one month.

Finally, depending on the package chosen, the academy may remain in contact for 3 months after the programme has ended to continue working on potential opportunities.

If you wish to join our football training centre in Malta, you should know that we place great importance on the overall level of the players. However, unlike other centres, we do not base our selection solely on the player's sporting history. In fact, we organise selection trials and encourage participants to give their best.

Next, our selection committee evaluates candidates according to very specific criteria in order to choose the selected players. We have observed that some players who compete at the regional or even departmental level perform better in the programme than those who have competed at the national level.

It is true that this type of programme at a football training centre requires great mental abilities and a rock-solid mentality. That is why, during our football trial process, our recruiters assess both footballing qualities and mentality

That's why, from the moment you arrive on the island, everything is up for grabs and it's up to you to seize the opportunity to prove your worth.

Due to the limitation on the number of foreign players per team in the Maltese league (MFA), the academy cannot register in it, as it is composed entirely of non-Maltese players.

Therefore, the team competes in the MAFA, a secondary league without restrictions. It consists of three divisions, and the academy competes in the first division.

It should be noted that every year, the MAFA CUP organisation pits all the teams from these three divisions against each other.

Finally, Throughout the year, friendly matches are organised against teams from the main league (MFA).

We want to give a second chance to players who have not managed to get into the training centres of the big clubs. Unlike these clubs, ProEvolution Academy does not have the same budget.

Therefore, if a player is selected on sporting grounds, they will also be required to pay a registration fee to join our private football training centre in Malta.
